IAFF Local 3529 Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Professional Firefighters and Emergency Medical Service Professionals of Putnam County to provide effective and efficient fire protection and emergency medical services in a consistent and uniform basis and that these services will be accessible to all residents and visitors of Putnam County, Florida. 

 These services will include;

 Basic and Advanced Life Support

 Fire protection.

 Public Education and information

 Fire prevention

These services will be provided recognizing and accommodating the needs and concerns of the people we serve. Ensuring that access to these services is easy to obtain, and provided in a manner which demonstrates the understanding of the urgency of the need.

It is further stated that the term “Professional” will identify all Emergency Medical Personnel and Firefighters serving Putnam County. It is not defined by the status of; a “Volunteer” or a “Paid Firefighter”. It is recognized that the term Professional, is earned by the skills demonstrated on the fire ground or at the scene of an emergency and further evidenced by the attitudes we display and the acceptance and respect given by those we serve.
